Position Description We are looking for a Field Service Specialist to join our South Africa team, the position will be based ideally Johannesburg. The Filed Service Specilist will be following customers around South Africa, but also on some occasion there will be a requirement to travel around MEA. Main missions: On-site field support of QIAGEN automated solutions and analytical devices. Work includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and general support of laboratory instrumentation on all levels (hardware, software and utilization). Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers and references. Actively promote and sell Field Service products Assist in meeting/exceeding sales targets and related KPI’s in relation to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, in a timely fashion, and aligned with any regulatory requirements. Utilize relevant internal CRM databases to input and provide information to the organization. Positively represent QIAGEN in front of the customer, be a good example Position Requirements Electronical/Biomedical Engineering degree, computer skills is required and knowledge in Networking, Lis integration. Molecular biology knowledge is a plus. Preferable Automation experience or minimum of 3 years of service and support experience in a comparable position within the after-sales service business in the Clinical or MDx Market, or equivalent experience repairing and maintaining instrumentation in the Clinical and/or MDx field, in vitro diagnostics, hematology and/or chemistry Experience in Service and Repair of laboratory instruments of high complexity is preferred Proven work experience in developing customer relationships Ability to work both independently and in a structured working environment Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills Extensive travel required (85%) around South Africa and MEA.
